About Kingston City Run

A global running movement, rooted in Kingston’s spirit and dedicated to making a difference.

A Movement Since 2013

Runners from Jamaica, the Caribbean, UK, Denmark, Japan, Canada, China, USA and beyond have joined us since our start in 2013.

The event debuted with a legendary start—Bart Yasso, the “Chief Running Officer” of Runner’s World, took part in our first half marathon. By 2019, we hosted over 5,000 runners!

The route puts Kingston’s culture, landmarks, and energy on display, with ample spots for supporters and unforgettable city views.

Who We Are

Kingston City Run was founded in 2013 by Nicola Madden-Greig and Christopher Jarrett to help uplift Kingston and support our most vulnerable—through an event that promotes health, wellness, and the city’s best spirit.

Organised by the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (Kingston Chapter), powered by local sponsors, passionate volunteers, and a thriving community.

Changing lives, one step at a time.
